Happy 1st Birthday Phillip Schofield Online!
14th March 2007: It's hard to believe that a year ago today I set up Phillip Schofield
Online. It started very small back then with a few pictures and facts about Phillip and the forum, but what a year it has been, the site
has come a long way in such a short amount of time. As I look back over the year I can not believe what I have achieved and if I could
do this as a full time job I would because it is probably the most excited I have been about any of my online projects over the years. As
many people know I have been a fan of Mr Schof for over 20 years, in my opinion he is the most amazing celebrity. As a child I looked up
to Phillip and as I grew older I have admired him and his work. He is an extremely talented presenter, actor and singer (Phil you should sing more often).
He is also a
wonderful family man and us fans are very lucky to share his warmth and kindness that we see through his shows like This Morning.
A year ago today I was starting to build this site as I couldn't believe that no one had made a good website dedicated to Phillip, who after
all has been on our tv screens for 25 years. As soon as I set up the site I got to work on promoting it and started to write to Phillip
every so often to tell him news from the site. More and more people started joining the forum and sending me their pictures to add
to the gallery and it just got bigger and bigger.
Some Highlights from the year:
In July, I decided as the site was getting bigger it was time to purchase its own domain name so after lots of suggestions from forum
members we opted for SchofieldFans.co.uk
In November, Janet and Carol went to The National TV Awards. Janet's girls made an amazing banner to attract Phillip and Fern and to show
them our support. The banner was shown twice on This Morning and Janet managed to talk to Phillip who said he would sign on to the forum at
some point.
In December, Phillip first signed into the forum, the excitement that one message caused us fans was amazing. Phillip has kindly continued
to visit the site as and when he can to leave messages for us fans.
In February, Phillip's agents kindly directed Phillip's official domain (www.phillipschofield.com) to our site. More and more visitors find us
because of this!
This site has not only been about Phillip himself but it has also helped fans make new friends. The members of the forum are all very kind and helpful
and have helped me build this page, the site wouldn't be what it is today without them, so thanks so much guys. I am looking
forward to meeting a few of the forum members at our first site meet-up in a few weeks time. This site now has had just under 20,000 unique visitors, has 118 forum
members who have posted over 11,500 posts on the forum and has over 550 pictures of Phillip in the gallery. A great achievement!
So I would like to say a BIG thanks to all the fans on the forum, Phillip's agent and of course the man himself Mr Schof!

Magazines - Phil and Fern DVD!
13th March 2007:
As promised a few weeks ago the DVD is finally out on the front of OK! Magazine. The DVD is of Phil and Fern's favourite funny moments from This Morning and also
features a special backstage tour of the This Morning studios. Definitely worth picking up a copy of this DVD, it has some excellent funny moments including the infamous
'dunking beef'.
With the final of Dancing On Ice taking place this weekend it means there is a good chance that Phillip will be in magazines. This week you can also find him
on the front of Best Magazine and TV Times Magazine.

Phillip has won the battle of the presenters to be crowned Britain's favourite breakfast smoothie by UK Women. Phillip
topped the poll which was commissioned by Cancer Research UK in support of Britain's Biggest Breakfast, a fundraising
campaign taking place throughout March to raise awareness of the links between diet and cancer and to raise vital funds for research into the disease.
The survey was taken by 1,000 women, of which nearly a quarter (24 per cent) put Phillip in first place as the most charming and charismatic of all male breakfast

tv presenter of all time, beating Ant and Dec and many other top presenters. Phillip was the first presenter for

Well done Phil!
This Morning is back....

A message from Phillip....
1st August 2006: There has been a lot in the press about "Its Now Or Never" and although Phillip
is on holiday at the moment he has kindly written this message for the site:
"To everyone who has expressed their support for Now or Never, thank you. We're still trying to figure out why it wasn't the hit we all thought it would be, there are a number of factors, Double Rollover on the Lottery, hot night, poor public perception of what the programme was, the return of Casualty, we could analyse endlessly. What we do know is that the programme was terrific. The 2 million people that found it thoroughly enjoyed it, indeed ITV received a high number of complaints over the fact that the second programme wasn't shown. It was 'pick of the day' in a large number of magazines and papers. The journalists that came to the filming of the first programme were extremely positive. What is very sad is that the show has been judged a flop on content, it's certainly true that the figures were terribly disappointing, but this was not a cheap 'reality' show. It was very well made by a respected production company, it was fun, feel-good family viewing and everyone involved was extremely proud of the final result. Now or Never was also described by a senior TV exec as 'the best new entertainment format I've seen in 10 yrs'. I've never really reacted to negative press, in fact I have quite thick skin and programmes and presenters are there to be judged, however, just this once I wanted to stand up for a programme I believe in. If there is no place on telly for this sort of family show, then we're all in trouble. For once this was a show that you could watch without voting! Should it ever return in the future, in whatever new guise, give it a go, you might not like it, but then again, you might be pleasantly surprised."
Phil Signs 2 Year Contract with ITV....
23rd July 2006: Phil has signed a new contract keeping him exclusively at ITV for the next two years.
Under the deal Phil will continue to co-present "This Morning", as well as fronting another series of "Dancing On Ice", the "British Soap Awards" and a
Christmas special in which he will make dreams come true. This is excellent news for Phil and of course us fans! Well done Phil!
Its Now Or Never....
12th July 2006: We are all feeling a little bit depressed that "This Morning" is finishing for the summer on Friday but fear not
Phillip will be back on our screen within a week. "It's Now or Never" will be two, one hour shows hosted by Phil and
will give one person the chance to make a very public announcement in a truly unique and dramatic way. The star of this warm and feel good show will be making a real song and dance about whatever it is they really want to say – quite literally.
So don't forget to watch the show on ITV1 on Saturday 22nd July and Saturday 29th July at 7:50pm.
